Full facial clearing can take anywhere from 1-30 hours depending on how dense your hair is and how much is present at the time of appointment. Some clients prefer to come in weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly for 1-3 hour sessions. That would depend on scheduling availability and your personal budget. We perform a maximum of 5 hours of electrolysis in one day. Discounted medical rates are listed at bottom of this page.

Most surgeons want the area untouched for months after FFS to reduce the risk of unwanted effects during healing. Your healing timeframe may vary based on your surgeons recommendation.

Two technicians working at once. The minimum treatment time for doubling is 2 hours and maximum is 5 hours in a day. You must call or put in inquiry to request a doubling session; the technician will be in contact with you to confirm a time that works for both technicians. A 50% deposit is due upon scheduling. All cancellations for doubling session require a 72 hour notice. Any cancellations/rescheduling with less than 72 hours will result in a 50% fee of services booked. Policies are strictly enforced.

However, we will do the best we can with the time we have to get as much cleared as possible before your surgery date. Most surgeons allow us to continue performing treatments up until 3 weeks prior to surgery date. Vaginoplasty prep work requires an advanced skill level/expertise to perform treatment and is priced at $200/Hr. and will include receiving itemized receipts with CPT coding you may submit to your insurance. We do not have a medical billing department so itemized receipts are sent out at the end of every month to the email on file. 

* Preparing for appointment: Please come showered and with surgery prep area trimmed. When the hair is too long it affects the technician's speed.  We need a short amount of growth to complete the treatment effectively.

Clients are welcome to use their own numbing cream/gel or can purchase from us. We recommend you apply it on clean, dry skin 45 minutes to an hour before your appointment. It helps penetrate better if you occlude the area with cling wrap after applying numbing agent.

We work closely with a Licensed Physician who has been helping clients with electrolysis pain management for the last 6 years.

• 20% Lidocaine + 20% Benzocaine It will be called into a local compounding pharmacy and the fee for the prescription depends on the size:

               15 grams = $50        

               30 grams = $75 

• 2.5% Prilocaine + 2.5% Lidocaine prices vary based on your insurance
• Lidocaine + Marcaine Injections $12 per CC

We are not considered a medical office; there are no electrolysis offices in Illinois we are aware of that accepts insurance for electrolysis. We require payment at time of service. Some clients depending on their policy may be able to get reimbursed by their insurance company. 

1. Go to your doctor and get a diagnosis for gender dysphoria recommending electrolysis.

2. Submit the referral w/diagnosis to your insurance company for pre-authorization. They will let you know if electrolysis is covered in your policy and how many units/sessions they will approve.

3. Let your Electrologist know that you will need receipts for your treatments with codes.  You submit those detailed receipts to your insurance for direct reimbursement.
